NEW YORK, NY – OCTOBER 6, 2015 – Amy Doyle has been appointed Executive Vice President for VH1 & Logo, units of Viacom (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA), deputy to General Manager Chris McCarthy.  In this newly created role, Doyle will assist McCarthy with the oversight of the management and creative of both brands.  Doyle will directly oversee Live Programming, Tent-pole Events and Specials, Network Talent Development and Celebrity Relations.  In addition, she will serve as the network's point person for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.

"Amy is a multi-talented executive with a proven ability to build brands and talent and create pop culture moments that drive audiences across every platform" said McCarthy. "She's a forward-thinking leader for this new era in media, and I couldn't ask for a better partner while we continue to build VH1 and Logo as the premier pop culture brands."

In the third quarter just completed, VH1's primetime ratings surged ahead +34% over the prior quarter.  The network ranked as the #1 non-sports cable network on Monday nights among adults 18-49 and women 18-49 and the #2 cable network among women 18-49 on Sunday nights.

Logo just completed its 9th consecutive quarter of growth year-over-year growth, up 28% in the past two years amount 18-49 and is a top 5 fastest growing network in cable.

Doyle most recently served as Executive Vice President of Music and Talent for MTV and VH1 where she led music content and programming, talent booking, artist and industry relations, and music supervision. During her time at MTV, Doyle and her team successfully helped create some of the biggest music moments in recent pop culture memory. As Executive Producer of the "MTV Video Music Awards," Doyle was instrumental in Beyoncé's first ever performance of her self-titled album in its entirety (which in the first 24-hours charted a 1,600 percent jump in sales of her song "XO") and bringing together Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift for an unforgettable open to this year's VMA's.  The 2015 "MTV Video Music Awards" broke the record for most social non-sports television program in the history of Nielsen's TV social guide with over 21 million tweets.   In addition, she championed Amy Schumer as host of this year's MTV Movie Awards 2015, a role that kicked-off her domination of pop culture in 2015.  Doyle also  served as an Executive Producer for the "mtvU Woodie Awards," which Entertainment Weekly cites as the festival as having a reputation for featuring performers "right on the cusp of greatness," and MTV's Unplugged series, which recently united Madonna and Miley Cyrus on stage.

Doyle is a multiple recipient of the prestigious Billboard Women in Music honor ('12, '13, '14) and an Emmy® Award-winner for "Unplugged." She holds a B.A. in Mass Communications and Public Relations from Boston University.
