Kathryn Renée Thomas stars as the bitter and brutally honest Mrs. Deb Adler on TV Land's comedy series, "Teachers." The show's mid-season premiere for season three will debut on Tuesday, January 15th at 10:00pm ET/PT, and it will be the show's final chapter. The series revolves around a group of elementary school teachers who are trying to mold the minds of America's youth, but don't have their own lives together at all. Thomas, along with "The Katydids," writes, stars in and executive produces "Teachers" alongside showrunner Ian Roberts.
Thomas is an actor, writer, and producer who has performed in venues from New York City to Los Angeles to the Alaskan high seas, and has credits with The Second City, the iO Theater, and The Annoyance Theatre. While getting a B.F.A. in Theatre and a B.A. in English at The University of Michigan, she had the honor of performing for legendary playwright Arthur Miller in "An Arthur Miller Celebration," which was directed by Tony® nominee Mark Lamos. Kathryn has been recognized by Detroit's Between the Lines magazine, which gave her a Wilde Award for Best Actress in an Original Production for her portrayal of Dottie in "Before and Laughter" (Planet Ant Theatre), and she was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 2012 Gold Coast Film Festival for her performance in the "Teachers" web series.
