SHOW WINS TOP SPOT AS #1 ORIGINAL AD-SUPPORTED CABLE SITCOM WITH WOMEN

 

New York, NY – September 19, 2017 – More successful and buzzy than ever in its fourth season, TV Land's "Younger" achieved its highest-rated and most-watched season ever in series history, and is the #1 Original Ad-Supported Cable Sitcom with Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, year-to-date. The series saw its highest ratings of all time, scoring double digit percentage increases versus prior season in all of TV Land's key demos and total viewers, and #YoungerTV trended on Twitter every week. Additionally, the season finale episode, which aired Wednesday, September 13th, saw series highs with Adults and Women 18-49. (All Data is L+3). "Younger's" record-breaking season mirrors a similar trend for TV Land, as the network has seen 10 consecutive months of year-over-year growth and, pacing +17% versus year ago, is experiencing the highest year-over-year growth out of any top 20 non-news cable network (L+SD, Total Day, Quarter-to-Date, P25-54).

 

Further incredible highlights from season four of "Younger" include:*

 

  • Highest-ratings ever in all key demos and total viewers on a Live, Live + SD, and Live +3 basis:
    • In Live +3, season ratings saw double-digit increases, with a .85 in Adults 25-54 (+31% vs prior season); 1.31 with Women 25-54 (+31%); .72 with Adults 18-49 (+32%); 1.13 with Women 18-49 (+31%); and 1.3 million total viewers (+29%).

 

  • "Younger" saw 2.1 million full episode starts on TVLand.com and the TV Land app, the highest in-season consumption in series history.

 

  • #YoungerTV trended on Twitter every Wednesday night for each of the 12 weeks that new season four episodes premiered.

 

  • New Facebook Live aftershow "Getting Younger" generated over 2 million video views throughout the season, and, on average, reached almost half a million Facebook users each week.

 

  • Average weekly engagement with "Getting Younger" was nearly 5x stronger than the average engagement with Facebook posts for Younger's prior season.

 

  • Season four had a median age 10 years younger than TV Land's 4Q 17 (to date) primetime viewer average.

 

  • The season finale episode, "Irish Goodbye," scored series highs with a .82 with Adults 18-49 and a 1.30 with Women 18-49.

New York, NY – August 15, 2017 – Following several weeks in a row of season highs, the fans have spoken again and made it clear that this season of "Younger" is absolutely can't-miss television.

 

  • The August 9th episode, "Fever Pitch," delivered the highest ratings in series history in L+3 across all key demos, including a .92 in Adults 25-54, a 1.43 with Women 25-54, a .77 with Adults 18-49, and a 1.23 with Women 18-49.

 

  • "Fever Pitch" was also – for the second week in a row – the most-watched episode in "Younger" history, with 1.4 million viewers in Live + 3.

 

  • Highest playback among all key demos in series history.

 

  • "Younger's" Facebook Live aftershow, "Getting Younger," also continues to grow, with last Wednesday night's episode garnering 257K video views and engaging 26K users, the highest on all counts season-to-date since the premiere week episode.

Second Semester of "Teachers" Season Two Starts

Tuesday, November 7th at 10pm ET/PT

 

New York, NY – August 10, 2017 – School is back in session this fall! Don't be late for class on Tuesday, November 7th at 10pm ET/PT, when TV Land's critical darling "Teachers" returns for the second half of season two. The first 10 episodes of the Grade-A comedy's second season, which The Hollywood Reporter hailed as "stronger and funnier than ever," aired earlier this year and hit multiple series high ratings.

 

"After an amazing ratings performance last season, we are so excited to share the rest of the season with the fans," said Frank Tanki, General Manager of TV Land and CMT. "With season three already picked up, 'Teachers' is one of the core components of our brand, generating love from fans and critics alike."

 

"Teachers" revolves around a group of elementary school teachers who are trying to mold the minds of America's youth, but don't have their own lives together at all. The series is created by and stars the improv group The Katydids – Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton, Cate Freedman, Kate Lambert, Katie O'Brien and Kathryn Renée Thomas. The second part of season two will see Ms. Bennigan (O'Brien) keep naively pursuing Hot Dad (guest star Ryan Caltagirone), Ms. Watson (Lambert) in an unexpected relationship, Mrs. Adler (Thomas) and Ms. Feldman (Freedman) dealing with a "serial pooper" around the school, Ms. Snap (Colloton) finding the school's forgotten library, Ms. Cannon (Barlow) discovering an artistic prodigy, and even an entire episode taking place in the 1940s. "Teachers" has already been renewed for a 20-episode third season to premiere in 2018.

 

Along with The Katydids, showrunners Ian Roberts and Jay Martel ("Key and Peele") executive produce the series. Matt Miller, Cap Gun Collective and Alison Brie are also executive producers.

On the heels of last week's season high ratings, TV Land's hit comedy "Younger" has reached even more season highs AND had its most-watched episode in series history in Live + 3!

 

  • The August 2nd episode, "A Close Shave," reached a season high .85 with Adults 25-54 in L+3, more than doubling its L+SD rating with a +119% playback lift.

 

  • The episode also scored additional season highs in key demos in L+3, including a 1.29 with Women 25-54, a .74 with Adults 18-49 and a 1.12 with Women 18-49.

 

  • "A Close Shave" was the most-watched episode in series history, with 1.3 million total viewers tuning in on a Live +3 basis.

New York, NY – July 31, 2017 – Following its most-watched and highest-rated telecast ever in Live + SD with the Season 4 premiere episode, "Younger" on TV Land has delivered even higher ratings, scoring season highs across all key demos for the network for the July 26th episode. In Live + 3, the episode achieved increases versus the very strong season premiere, with a .8 (+5%) with Adults 25-54, a 1.2 (+5%) with Women 25-54, a .7 (+1%) with Adults 18-49, and a 1.1 (+4%) with Women 18-49.

 

Currently outpacing every previous season to-date in both Live + SD and Live + 3 with Adults 25-54, Season 4 is seeing huge increases in urgency to watch from fans, and is up +26%  (Live +3) and +40% (Live + SD) versus season three to-date. In addition, this week's episode garnered 1.2 million average total viewers in Live + 3.

 

Plus, "Getting Younger," the series' Facebook Live aftershow, keeps the party going every week following the 10pm ET airings. With incredibly strong fan engagement, each episode organically reaches, on average, 300,000 people, and to date, "Getting Younger" episodes have reached a gross of 2 million Facebook users and garnered over half a million total video views. Last week's episode with guest Debi Mazar has nearly 220,000 video views alone, and reached over 500,000 people.

 

On this week's episode of "Younger" (Wednesday at 10pm ET/PT on TV Land), Liza (Sutton Foster) is caught majorly off guard when she runs into Macmillan publisher Jay (guest star Aasif Mandvi), whom she met while repping Empirical at a conference. Unfortunately, she runs into him while she's out having dinner with her daughter Caitlin (Tessa Albertson). New York, NY – July 5, 2017 – "Younger," TV Land's hit comedy from Darren Star reached new heights, as its Live + SD season four premiere on Wednesday, June 28th was the highest-rated and most-watched telecast ever. In Live+3, "Younger" posted its highest-rated and most-watched premiere.

 

  • Scoring a .8 Adults 25-54, 1.2 Women 25-54, .7 A18-49, 1.0 W18-49 and 1.3 million average total viewers, the premiere posted double digit gains versus last season's premiere in L+3.
  • Double digit gains over last year's premiere were also seen in L+SD with a .4 A25-54, .6 W25-54, .4 A18-49, .5 W18-49 and 802k average total viewers.
  • The new LIVE digital aftershow, "Getting Younger," which launched following last week's premiere on Facebook @YoungerTV, reached over half a million people, collected over 180k video views and engaged 46k users and counting. Shot in front of a live audience at Pride Global's Flight Deck in Manhattan, it is hosted by SiriusXM's Taylor Strecker and will immediately follow every episode for the run of the season. 
  • #YoungerTV trended on Twitter in the US on premiere night. Instagram, Twitter and Facebook are also seeing climbing numbers for "Younger," with double digit increases in followers, respectively, on the show's social media pages since the end of last season.
