THE UNITED STATE OF WOMEN ON PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

IN SUPPORT OF THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT

Watch the PSA Featuring the Full Cast of Younger Here

NEW YORK, June 25, 2019 - TV Land's hit series Younger has teamed up with The United State of Women on a Public Service Announcement in support of the Violence Against Women Act. Currently, long-standing funds to help and protect survivors of gender-based violence are under threat. This PSA features the full Younger cast - Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann, Molly Bernard and Charles Michael Davis - urging fans to take action and help get the Violence Against Women Act renewed.

"At a time when women and non-binary people are under attack, it's incredible to have the full Younger cast take a stand to protect women," said Erika Soto Lamb, Vice President of Social Impact Strategy for Comedy Central, Paramount Network and TV Land.  "We are proud to partner with The United State of Women to help our audience take action to support the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act – and we have no doubt that Liza, Kelsey, Maggie, Diana, Josh, Charles, Lauren and Zane would do the same."

Jordan Brooks, the Executive Director of the United State of Women said, "The Violence Against Women Act provides critical protections against violence and support for survivors around the country. We are thrilled to partner with TV Land and the cast of Younger to shine a light on the need to reauthorize this incredibly important legislation. We urge people to join our friends at Younger and USOW to take action and make their voices heard today."

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), enacted in 1994, creates and supports comprehensive, cost-effective responses to the pervasive and insidious crimes of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. It is up for reauthorization every five to six years and this year, on April 4th 2019, the House of Representatives passed H.R.1585: the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2019, with bipartisan support. H.R.1585 is a bipartisan bill to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act for five more years. It makes vital improvements that are necessary to prevent domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking and to hold offenders accountable. The Senate has not yet passed a bill to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act. To learn more and take action go to the TheUnitedStateofWomen.org.

New York, NY – March 21, 2018 – After a record-breaking season, TV Land revealed – via a unique interactive video – that its critically-acclaimed series "Younger" will return for season five on Tuesday, June 5th at 10pm ET/PT. "Younger" fans can find the highly-anticipated premiere date hidden within a sneak peek video of the new season using an interactive 360-degree interface. In the video, fans can toggle between sitting with the cast as they read a scene from the upcoming season, to standing on the "Younger" set, watching the finished scene. In the scene, Liza shares the good news with Kelsey that their soon-to-be-released book, Marriage Vacation, is a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick, and Josh joins the conversation and is greeted by Liza for the first time since his wedding in Ireland.

This season, series star Miriam Shor will make her television directorial debut with an episode to air in July and, as previously announced, Charles Michael Davis ("The Originals"), who plays Kelsey's ex and work rival, Zane Anders, has joined the cast as a series regular.

The most recent season of "Younger" was the highest-rated and most-watched season in series history, and the series ranked as the #1 original ad-supported cable sitcom with women 18-49 and women 25-54. From "Sex and the City" creator Darren Star and starring two-time Tony® winner Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann, Molly Bernard and Charles Michael Davis, "Younger" follows Liza, a woman who lies about her age at her job in the highly competitive world of publishing. As Liza's personal and professional lives have become irreversibly intertwined over time, keeping the secret proves more and more difficult, and she finally reveals the truth to Kelsey, her friend and partner at work. Still, Liza must keep up appearances, as she is torn between her attraction to her boss and the fact that their professional relationship was built on a lie.

"Younger," which films at the legendary Silvercup Studios in New York, is created, executive produced and written by Darren Star, with Tony Hernandez of JAX Media executive producing for TV Land. Dottie Zicklin and Eric Zicklin also serve as executive producers and writers on the series.

Kristin Chenoweth, Charles Michael Davis, Aasif Mandvi, Jennifer Westfeldt and More to Guest Star

New York, NY – June 1, 2017 – TV Land's captivating dramedy "Younger" is back this summer, and this season's trailer makes one thing clear: the truth hurts. Last season, Liza (Sutton Foster) finally admitted her bombshell secret to Kelsey (Hilary Duff) – that she's not 26 and she's been lying all along – and viewers will get to see how it all unfolds on the Wednesday, June 28th premiere at 10pm. But Liza's relationship with Kelsey is not the only thing left in shambles. Her boyfriend Josh (Nico Tortorella) was left broken when he stumbled upon Liza and her boss, Charles (Peter Hermann), kissing right before he was about to propose. With her professional and personal lives on the line, Liza might only be left with the truth.

Season four of the Darren Star-created series will also see some amazing guest stars, including Emmy® and Tony® winner Kristin Chenoweth ("Wicked," "Hairspray Live") as Marylynne Keller, a DC "spin doctor" trying to sell a book to Empirical; heartthrob Charles Michael Davis ("The Originals") as Zane Anders, a competitor (and maybe more) to Kelsey; Aasif Mandvi ("The Daily Show") as Jay Mallick, a 40-something publisher that approaches Liza to run her own imprint; Jennifer Westfeldt ("Friends with Kids") as Pauline, a new author that Liza meets and in whom she sees herself; Meredith Hagner ("Search Party"), who plays Montana, a young artist and fan of Maggie's (Debi Mazar) work; and Phoebe Dynevor ("Snatch"), playing Clare, an Irish bartender that befriends Liza and the group. "Younger" will also see the return of some fan favorites this summer, including Michael Urie ("Ugly Betty") as literary agent Redmond; Mather Zickel ("Masters of Sex") as Diana's (Miriam Shor) live-in boyfriend Richard; Tessa Albertson ("The Good Wife") as Liza's daughter Caitlin; and Ben Rappaport ("Mr. Robot") as Max, Lauren's (Molly Bernard) doctor boyfriend.

"Younger," which has already been renewed for a fifth season, films at the legendary SilverCup Studios in New York and is created, executive produced and written by Darren Star, with Tony Hernandez of JAX Media executive producing for TV Land. Dottie Zicklin and Eric Zicklin also serve as executive producers and writers on the series.

Network Picks Up 12-Episode Fifth Season Of "Younger" And 20-Episode Third Season Of "Teachers" For 2018 Premieres

New Comedy "Nobodies," Exec Produced by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, Already Renewed For Second Season

New York, NY – April 20, 2017 – TV Land has renewed its most-watched and critically acclaimed comedies, "Younger" – which has been named "one of the juiciest comfort-watches" by BuzzFeed – and "Teachers," which The Hollywood Reporter called "a little surprise gem," it was announced today by Frank Tanki, General Manager of TV Land. "Younger," which returns June 28th for its fourth season, has been picked up for a 12-episode fifth season, while "Teachers," which returns with the back half of season two this fall, has been renewed for a 20-episode third season. This news comes on top of the early second season renewal of the newly-launched comedy "Nobodies," which stars Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras, and is executive produced by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone through their production company On The Day, as well as showrunner Michael McDonald.

"We're absolutely thrilled to be bringing back 'Younger' and 'Teachers' for more seasons and double down on our dedication to creating smart, funny, honest and compelling originals," said Tanki.

Descriptions of all the series are below:

  • "YOUNGER"

"Younger," from "Sex and the City" creator Daren Star, stars two-time Tony® winner Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann and Molly Bernard. The series follows Liza, a 40-year old woman who pretends to be 26 in order to get a job in the highly competitive world of publishing – and succeeds. Last season, as Liza continued her lie, her two lives became irreversibly intertwined – with her longtime best friend, Maggie (Mazar), new friend and partner at Empirical, Kelsey, prickly boss Diana (Shor), and everyone in between, becoming part of the same world. In the season three finale, Liza came to realize the damage her secret has caused and finally unveiled the truth to Kelsey (Hilary Duff). Now Liza will be forced to deal with the fallout of her deceit and learn that the truth hurts. Season four premieres Wednesday, June 28th at 10pm ET/PT. Season five will premiere in 2018.

  • "TEACHERS"

"Teachers" revolves around a group of elementary school teachers who are trying to mold the minds of America's youth, but don't have their own lives together at all. The series is written by and stars The Katydids – Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton, Cate Freedman, Kate Lambert, Katie O'Brien and Kathryn Renée Thomas – and so far in season two, great guest stars have popped up, including Haley Joel Osment ("Alpha House," "Comedy Bang! Bang!") as Mrs. Adler's husband, Ryan Hansen ("Party Down") as Ms. Snap's rival in a school council race, Jessica St. Clair ("Playing House") as the school counselor, and many more.

The rest of season two, returning this fall, will see Ms. Bennigan (O'Brien) keep naively pursuing Hot Dad (guest star Ryan Caltagirone), Mrs. Adler and Ms. Feldman (Freedman) dealing with a "serial pooper" around the school, and even an entire episode taking place in the 1940s. Season three will premiere in 2018.

  • "NOBODIES"

"Nobodies" stars and is executive produced and written by Groundlings alums Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras and revolves around the three as they try desperately to land one of their famous friends for a feature script that they have developed, so that they, too, can rise to fame in Hollywood. Davidson, Dorf and Ramras are partnering with their real-life friends, Emmy® winner Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, who executive produce "Nobodies" through their production company, On The Day. Michael McDonald ("MadTV"), also a former Groundling, is showrunner and also serves as executive producer and director. Guest stars this season include McCarthy, Falcone and McDonald, as well as Kristen Wiig, Kristen Bell, Allison Janney, Jason Bateman, Maya Rudolph, Leslie Bibb, Jim Rash, Nat Faxon and many more.  "Nobodies" can currently be seen on TV Land on Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT.

New York, NY – March 1, 2017 – Viacom veteran Frank Tanki has been promoted to General Manager, TV Land, it was announced today by Kevin Kay, President of Spike (soon to be Paramount Network), TV Land, and CMT. In his new role, Tanki will oversee strategy and day-to-day operations for the channel – Creative, Communications, Scheduling, Media Planning, and Marketing – and will continue to report into Kay. He will also partner closely with Keith Cox, President of Development and Production, to steer TV Land's content strategy and slate.

"During his 12-year tenure at Viacom, Frank has proven to be a forward-thinking, passionate and creative marketer who has played a pivotal role in the success and growth of both Nickelodeon and more recently, Spike," said Kay. "He is a dynamic and strategic leader and is the right person to lead TV Land as the network continues its evolution."

Tanki has been a major player in the launch of many of Viacom's most successful properties over the last decade, from "Lip Sync Battle" on Spike to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "SpongeBob SquarePants" on Nickelodeon. His notable successes include re-branding Spike into a premium general entertainment destination, the launches of global hit franchises such as "Lip Sync Battle and continued growth of franchises "Ink Master," "Bar Rescue," and Bellator MMA.

At Nickelodeon, he served as Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon Strategic Property Planning & Marketing, where he was responsible for the strategic planning and marketing of many of Nickelodeon's key hits such as "SpongeBob SquarePants," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Dora The Explorer." He also ran marketing for Nick's Live and Recreation platforms and partnership marketing, where he forged strategic partnerships with the NFL, NASCAR, and various MLB and NBA Teams, as well as helping lead the brand's annual presence at COMIC-CON and the Licensing Show.

Prior to that, Tanki was Nickelodeon's Senior Vice President of Partnership Marketing and Operations where he worked with partners such as Sony Music to launch Nick's live-action series, "Big Time Rush," which set a record as the highest-rated and most-watched live action Nick series premiere with kids, tweens and total viewers.

Tanki began his Nickelodeon career as the Marketing Project Manager for "The Rugrats Movie," coordinating strategic marketing plans among all of Nickelodeon's divisions and Paramount Pictures.  He was the marketing and creative marketing manager on the launch of "SpongeBob SquarePants" before moving on to Cartoon Network and Adult Swim as Director, Promotions Marketing. He returned to Nickelodeon as Senior Director, Brand Marketing, where he managed several successful marketing campaigns like "SpongeBob SquarePants' Best Day Ever" marathon, which earned Nickelodeon its most-watched and highest-rated total programming day in history.
